Default Thoughts on these 2 badges ?

Thoughts on these 2 badges what are they Sweetheart or collars and what period ? These are a gold colour not silver or brass .

They look like ordinary issue collar badges converted to brooches, probably made in Australa around WW1. There are a lot of these around and I doubt if they were officially worn with brooch fittings. Most sweetheart badges are a lot more ornate and were made with very many variations. These would no doubt be the cheapest, but you could pay more and buy one in 18ct gold or platinum with diamonds and enamel.
