Default Black Watch Territorial Battalion brooched badge

Hi All,
Here is an example of Territorials badge with brooch fittings. No sign of lugs.
Were these common?
Cheers, John

The badge itself is a good one. I believe it originally did have lugs, but the brooch fitting has obliterated any remains of them.
Whether that conversion was done for civilian use (sweetheart) or a soldier had it done for convenience to replace a broken lug will never be known.
