6th ALH circa 1918
Here's a studio photo of ''Joe'' ,a sergeant in the A.I.F, wearing an unofficial 6th ALH badge as well as an A for ANZAC patch indicating he served at Gallipoli. He is also wearing 1918 rosette as he has been granted a furlough back home. The photo has a Sydney photographers stamp on it.
If the off chance any one can identify Joe ,let me know, I'm sure he has an interesting story ,given his service. Cheers Iain |

You can probably search for him via the National Archives website but it will be a long and very slow process given you don't have a last name.
It's a shame that the ADFA Database is currently down - you could probably have ID'ed him via that as well. Mick
