2nd Royal Surrey Militia to be precise. Like Ronsil does what it says on the tin this one.

Rather than the order of the garter like on CG badges this one has the Militia’s replaces the Honi soit qui mal y pense. So no way of confusing a WM CG for 2nd Surrey Militia.

Yep, for some reason though I knew the "Surrey" wording was on the badge I didn't read it to pin it down - I blame it on tunnel vision, intent on finding other threads.

A Welsh Guards in white metal is probably still on ebay having been relisted after failing to sell a few days ago.

Is the badge in post no. 1 definitely of white metal rather than plated?
It appears to be, the sliders yellow metal?

I forgot to add that i have 3 white metal Coldstream Guards cap stars. Leigh, the Surrey Militia have Surrey Militia on the actual garter of the badge. In place of Honi Sort Qui Maly Pense.

I've also got a coldstream capstar but it's seems to be made from silver not white metal.
