Default Dealers making it up

Gotta laugh now the well known dealers are making it up , no such regiment or pipe band

It’s a Queens Own Hussars wives club brooch.

From ‘one of the country’s leading dealers’, surely not.

A case of dealer deduction where 2 + 2 = £225.

Indeed it is on the website. I must say I am very disappointed to see this faux pas, and others, appear on this sellers site.

I cant comment on the badge in question. However, anyone who knows Rod Flood (Minden) will know that he is not only one of the nicest and honest you'll find, but also since the passing of his wife last year his appetite for it has largely gone (she always accompanied him to shows and fairs). His son Jim, who runs British Empire Militaria I believe now largely runs his fathers site.

I would say it's more likely to be an honest mistake, and that perhaps a short message to them by anyone knowledgeable pointing out the error might be worthwhile...

This pic may help to distinguish contemporary lettering from the modern rounded lettering seen on many fakes.

Interestingly, the pair of 5th Royal Irish Lancer shoulder titles, visible in this link, did, at first glance, seem rather inexpensive!
