Tribute Frame
As many of you know I volunteer for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. I look after 74 war graves across 20 sites - and like most volunteers, I take a proprietorial interest in "my" graves. I wanted to do something that commemorated my particular group and so started to collect OCA lapel badges to the units of "my" 74 servicemen. In all 30 badges would represent all of the units that the 74 served in. I also added my own CWGC volunteer badge to give the frame some context - and on the rear of the frame I'll explain the concept so that future generations understand why these OCA badges are together. I think the framer did a good job ( even the wife likes it!)

Stunning, lot of patience gone into this! Well done and thanks for showing us all!
Each badge seems to have it’s own personnel frame! |

Your volunteer work for the CWGC, I thank you for, I have visited many CWGC in this country and France and Belgium, when have seen the people working there, I always said thank you to them. I have help them in a small way myself, with one grave I visited in Belgium having the wrong badge, and another one in France not at the grave reference they give, they thanked for this information. they sent me a photo of the grave, with the right badge on.
