Default RCOS Slip On Title

Hi All,

I've just picked this slip on title for what I believe is the Royal Corps of Signals but when I have made a search on it there doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there.

Can anyone confirm if this is a British Royal Signals shoulder title and tell me anything about it such as if possible when it was worn? Was it before, after or at the same time as the R Signals version?

Thanks a lot,

Michael

Found a post from 2011 showing an RCOS slip on but no one confirmed what it was or when it was used. Popped up again in 2016 , still no identification .

Perhaps Rob Miller (who posted the photos) has found out by now ?

Thanks Mike,

I spotted that one as well, as you say hopefully someone will have an answer by now.

The quality of the material suggests one of the many titles made privately for sale in small shops, the manufacturer simply abbreviating the Corps initials unaware that they had worn R Signals for some years.

An identical example attached.

Brilliant, thanks a lot Jon.

So a private purchase worn at the same time period as the official R Signals slip on.

Thanks very much.
