Default Rare Royal Army Pay Corps badge

Hello,

Picked up a few APC/RAPC badges last week and amongst them was this rare OSD cap badge 1920-29 in Bronze with blades.

In all my years of collecting I have not had one before so I thought I would show it.

Its very well made and a crisp badge with lovely colour. I know there werent many made as so few survive.

Most of the badges will be for sale including this one but I thought I would record it on here before it goes.

regards

Yes indeed - a lovely thing. I am fortunate enough to have one with a note - 'extremely scarce'. I always like the design of this badge.

A superb badge Simon. With a passing interest in the Pay Corps I also have the matching collars to go with the badge, but I've never been lucky enough to find either in gilt. Even rarer perhaps...............?

Though rarity is a funny thing - a rare-ish WWII RAPC badge, the one strangely made from brass and gilding metal (KK 2134) went for what I thought was an absolute song at Bosleys Auction last week. Well a lot less than what I paid for mine!

I do hope you get a good price when you move it on.
