Default RAF cadets

Good afternoon,

I have found this picture of RAF cadets. On the back, a name Prescott, but I can't read the forename

Definitely 'Jim'. The dot above the 'i' is clearly visible.

Not Lew/Law/Len , the first letter is completely different to the 'L's' used in Lots/Love.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Jim seems to be right.
One officer on the front wears this badge on the collar. Education officer ?
Is it possible to date the photo ?

Default RAF Cadets photo

From memory Education Officer collar badges were worn from 1940 to 1948. Are you able to provided a clearer / higher resolution image of the Senior Officer and the one wearing the collar badges?

Default RAF Cadet photo

Hello Laurent,
I did hope that it was possible to make out the medal ribbons on the Officer as to give a clue to date but they are a bit indistinct.
Fantastic photo, you don’t see too many with these collar badges being worn.
