Smile A Christmas Quiz !

Here's a question for you all. What is the most faked badge currently available on ebay? I'd like to suggest that its the large W/M 8th Gurkha cap badge. At the time of writing there are 25 sellers offering at least one for sale ranging from £5.49 > £30. This dealer is the only one that actually states that it is a repro. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRITISH-I...oAAOSwNWhfq8r9

5 of the sellers claim that theirs is "original" - for the record none of the 25 are genuine. So can any badge beat 25 ?

There seems to be about the same number of 8th Scottish Volunteer Battalion King’s Liverpool Regiment badges available on eBay. Priced from £9 to £145!

Wasn’t there a job lot of 50 or 60 identical repro badges on eBay not so long ago?

They were all the same badge and initially the seller wanted £300 for them but this rapidly came down. Cannot recall what the regiment was, maybe they were 4th (Irish) Dragoon Guards badges?

Sadly can’t find the listing or thread either. On numbers alone that batch plus the usual dozen repros on the eBay listings carousel must be a contender?

22nd Dragoons has to be a contender - over 40 with unvoided numerals listed at present - some cracking examples made of the wrong metal.......

The Norfolk Rgt fake die must also be a contender; approx 47 currently on eBay (including the 2VB scroll version), ranging from £7-£45! I haven't the time to wade through all the online dealers out there who also have this badge in their stock, but a quick image search reveals there are plenty of them to be had.
