I've never seen a Dowler marked Canadian badge.

Mike, I just looked at mine, and I have 2 Dowler WRAC badges. One, with a long slider, is DOWLER. BIRMINGHAM, and the other is WM DOWLER. (B'HAM)

What is the 3rd, is there's an earlier one ? And regarding Dowler do you have an idea when the Wm Dowler & Sons Ltd. First appears ? I believe sometime about1911-1913 since previously it was Dowler & Sons Ltd (No Wm) since about 1905 |

[QUOTE=irish;320247]Cap and one collar marked Dowler Birmingham. 1 collar marked Wm. Dowler & Sons Ltd Birmingham. Interestingly the cap badge is marked twice.
As far as I know Dowler is pre 1886-7 1888 Directory is the earliest to show '& Sons, the Wm Before & Sons Ltd. is about 1911-13 I think , they are were Ltd since 1905 |
