Default Ladies Compact

Ok so its not a sweetheart pin, but I am pretty certain this was not a piece of soldiers kit. Issued or otherwise. Sorry I could not find any images on my computer of the inside of this. This compact currently resides in a case. If I can not find any interior photos, I will take a few next time I open the display case up.

I have never seen any of these with other Regiments crests on them, although I am sure they must exist. Post em if you have them. Please.

Default Ladies' Compact

These items were almost as popular as sweetheart badges and could be obtained mail order from most of the so-called 'jewellers' who carried on this trade. In reality, compacts were much more fashionable with the Royal Navy than with the other services. Regards. David

You guys really crack me up.

Normally I would not even give something like this compact a second glance but since it has the Irish Regiment of Canada crest on it, I simply could not pass it by.
