Not my normal collecting field, can the forum assist in identifying this badge/shako plate please?

I collect to the Allied & Axis special forces in N Africa, Aegean and Mediterranean during WW2 - LRDG, Indian Long Range Squadron, Popski's Private Army, Libyan Arab Force, SBS, Land Forces Adriatic, Partisans, FSSF, Italian Saharina Companies, Xa Mas, Falgore Para, 288 SVB, Brandenburg, Fallschirmjager, Kleinkamphverbande etc. Not only badges but medals, uniforms, headdress, photos, documents, specialist equipment, weapons etc., anything considered...Keith

Default Shako plate

Hi Keith

The badge is a shako plate of the 21st Middlesex Civil Service rifle volunteers
It would have original been blackened
