Default Lake Superior cloth

Just a couple of Lake Superior Regt cloth flashes. I like them both as WW2 but am open to any opinions. Any info would be welcome especially on the coarse example.

Default LSR cloth

Hello Jim, The titles you have imaged are two of the WW2 issues to the Lake Superior Regiment. The top title is the late wartime issue to the regiment. Not sure of the exact date for the issue, but the construction is more typical of Canadian manufacturers than British. Many Canadian regiments were obtaining cloth shoulder flashes from "home" late in the war.
The bottom flash is one of the British made pattern flashes for the Lake Sups. It is embroidered with the heavy coarse thread, and that thin backing material.
There are a couple of other wartime pattern flashes to the unit as well. These include the size back issue, which looks very much like the pattern that you have shown, and the canvas printed issue. Chris Brooker recently auctioned a very rare title in gray on blue, reading LAKE SUPERIOR REGIMENT / MOTOR.
