Default Long range desert group badge?

Hi, can anyone help. I have a Lrdg badge it measures 34mm. Has a white metal finish to it.
Real or fake? Any suggestions.

Default LRDG in white metal

I am no expert on LRDG badges, but I think this one could be an old fake created some 60+ years ago and sold on the premise that different patrols wore badges made from different metals, Brass/Bronze/white metal.

We do have a few experts on this subject on the forum, maybe they will have an answer.

Believe it’s potentially a post war association badge.

I’m sure Keith will confirm.

Luke is correct. I believe this pattern of badge was manufactured post-war for the LRDG Association.

My thoughts would be in that case that it does have a place in the regiments history, but, simply not during the wartime period that the regiment was extant and does have a value to it.
