Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry?
Not having a wide knowledge of cap badges can anyone confirm that the badge in the black beret is that of an officer in the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry?
Thanks, Jon |

I would suggest 10th Hussars. But was it also worn by officers of the RWY?

The beret lacks the red tombstone backing of the 10th Hussars.(the badge on the tombstone shown lacks the "Ich Down" scrolls....).

It looks like a 10th Hussars tent hat badge to me

Odd that he is wearing 9th Armd Div panda but medal ribbons are post war.

That is the 10th Hussars tent cap badge. Not worn by any other regiment to my knowledge.

Hi
Its definitely a 10th Hussars officers "Tent Cap" badge, the 3 spiky bits (technical description) at the bottom and the 2 sticky out bits with the Ich Dien motto are a clear give away, but its being worn on a beret and not on the Tent cap. Regards Phil. |

Hi, I may be wrong but he reminds me of some film star who usually played senior NCO's and was on a TV series as well, best wishes Mike

What are the medal ribbons? At first glance I would've thought perhaps MC, BWM and VM, or possibly a WWII star or two, I can't work them out.
