This is amazing stuff. The letters in themselves are a remarkable resource. Some of the contents sound like posts to the Forum, re types of badges etc. Perhaps some consideration could be put into publishing the letters?

The Letters
...splendid insight into collecting badges circa 1923 in such a small sphere, especially if the envelopes were retained.

The information in the letters may dispel some myths and fabrications that have grown up over the years. And, yes the content would have to be edited so that it deals with badges and collecting. The content of the letters may do far more to point out some of the copies and reproductions and misconceptions of collecting, but it obviously depends on what is in them.

If KGW is referring to 'published documents' and means the reproduction of a previously published item then copyright laws 'may' limit your actions. There are a number of us on the forum who could proviode some guidance on that aspect. KGW may have some secret that he will share with us in his own good time but, like the guy from Missouri, I'll believe it when I see it and hold little regard for conspiratorial insinuations. Clive

#1 is militia pattern (pre-WWI) 14th Regt. Princess of Wales' Own Rifles, circa 1907. #2 is Essex Scottish, 1927 through WWII (4th Canadian Infantry Brigade, 2nd CID, WWII).

Depending on the size of #1 it is either a shoulder belt plate or a cap badge, approved circa 1907. Badge #2 is what it says on the banner, the Essex Scottish Regiment, from Essex County Ontario. Badge authorized 1927 through 1954.

For those of us new to this thread, are there any links to the original collection photgraphs? They seem to have disappeared from the original posts
