Default Dug Religious finds

Malta was renowned for its ultra adherence to the Catholic Faith, spanning many centuries.

Sharing a sample selection of a few very old, mainly 1700s, dug religious medallions.

The end item is an odd man out: it's a Victorian medal depicting on the obverse a 'Young Head' Victoria, and on the reverse St George slaying the Dragon with legend 'S. GEORGIVS EQUITVM PATRONVS' (St George Patron of Horsemen (also of knights and fighting soldiers). Incidentally, all the examples I have come across while browsing, portray a sailing ship in a storm, no coinage heads!
