Default Boer War QVC

Picked this badge up on the weekend. It's a large general List QVC but slidered not lugged. Maker marked J.W.TIPTAFT&SON LTD over BIRMINGHAM.

Possibly a pugaree badge worn on the khaki helmet. Although most these helmets had a khaki cover to which a lugged badge was applied there were also a few without khaki covers. Regulations at the time required that the badge not pt holes into the pugaree.

I have to agree.... I have one where the lugs have been removed and a home made slider attached.....
