Default Military???

The attached badge was worn by the 1st Munster Scout Group in Germany, part of British Scouts Western Europe. Scout Groups on bases in Germany, sometimes wore the badge of the unit from where it drew its members.
At the back of my mind is the idea that this badge was worn by a British Army unit. Can anyone say whether it was, please?

I think the Scouts option, if correct, would point to this shape being worn as a group scarf badge.

Thanks for the link back to my query in 2010, Marc. Your memory is obviously better than mine!! I claim advancing years as the reason!
As far as the Boy Scout information goes, the fact of it being worn by a Scout Group is certain. However, the tenuous claim of it also being worn by a military unit seems unlikely, so I shall assume it wasn't worn by the Army, unless proof can be found that it was.
Thanks to you and Phil for the input.

So a REME 'Grim Reaper' badge, it must be true!

Still not proof of wear but every time I see this badge that's how it's described. I've sent a message to the REME Lad QRIH association but not sure if I'll get a response.

I was being sarcastic. Sean.
The reply I got many years back was negative and a word of mouth face to face negative as well.
