Default Kings Crown Silver Badge Chinese hallmarked!

Hi have been offered this badge a Kings Crown hallmarked Chinese - Silver "Canadian Post Office" ? How it was relayed to me could someone tell me anything about it its era? and so I do not rip myself or the person likely to pass this on how much it may be worth? How common / uncommon are these?

Billy,

Are you sure you are correct.

Why would the Canadian Post Office, pre-1952 be getting a badge made in communist China?

regards

Hi Simon, Paul, what the bloke said I don't have them I can't help but think being Silver it could be Military? Could he be in charge of Canadian Forces mail? Hong Kong but under British Rule but did normal postal workers have Silver badges? I don't know?

Am posting here so hopefully someone will just take one look at it and say this is! And why?

Billy,
Sorry you did not find my earlier comments helpful, on reflection it does seem to resemble similar badges sold as pouch badges to organisations like the HKP at auctions. I think some of the Protectorate badges had a bit more design to them, the British having many protectorates not just for the Chinese around and in the Asian colonies but also to other continents and their citizens.

Hi Paul not discounting Centrap Post Office and the name for the Hallmark is streets ahead of where I was! When I get home from work tonight will try and find a picture of these badges, the 3 fixings do suggest a pouch badge! And this ties up with what he told me, it will come together and if hes asking silly money I, ll pick up those I can and move on (will pass on the info though) thanks for the help, billy
