Is the Nigeria Signals flash an arm flash? What time period was it worn and is the colour of the triangle khaki? Any significance there?
Good pix

Cliff, the triangle is mid-dark green, same as the formation sign above it. Gold Coast district was Gold backing, Sierra Leone and Gambia Light Blue, I think the Triangle badges were worn on the bush hat. John

Default west and east african badges

Dear John

Could you please advise what the fifth badge along at the bottom of the first frame is.

It looks to be a signals badge but can't quite see on the picture.

Larger one would be nice to see

Nice collection

Kind regards

Chris Walker

Default KAR badge

Dear Chris, the badge you asked about is for the 4Bn. KAR. It is a styalised Arabic figure 4.The badge is 11/2 inches in length with two lugs to the rear.It is white metal , no hallmarks but appears to be silver by the way it tarnishes. Close up pic. also my display on the road collecting money for various military charities including the Gurkha Welfare Trust. John.
