Default WW1 Jewish Bn/Judeans Badge Opinions.

What do any of the members think of this badge. After looking about it seems to have a chance. It has a slider which is good. I have not seen enough Marples & Beasley hallmarks in hand to say for sure...as well have not seen any maker marked examples of this badge... I realize this badge is from the post war period and would this unit still be having badges made in England at this time?

These are the sellers pictures and all that I have at the moment...
Thanks in advance
Jack

An obvious modern fake sadly even without the mark.

Any ORs badge with a brass slider marked Marples & Beasley is completely spurious since there is no evidence to support they ever made/marked OR metal badges.

Thanks Luke,... the maker mark gave me the most cause to doubt.

Luke is correct; hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to post a picture of a genuine item.................I believe there is one in my Fusiliers album on here, probably not the best picture, I will try and do better next time.

Regards.

1st Judeans is a very rare badge and as stated the M&B is a fake mark. The three RF Bns wore the standard RF grenade badge.

Thanks Brian.... the most noticeable difference between yours and the one posted by myself is the tapered slider on your example.... At least for the moment the other differences I am still studying...
