Default Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers Cap Badges

Hi all. I have a small box of badges that I am unsure of that I am slowly going through. The KC badge looks like it has been worn, but then again I have seen this bent effect applied to fake badges as well. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers.

I like the K/C. The mark is correct for the badge's date in use post Ww2.

Anyone have guidance on what to look for regards a Great War period badge? Any variations to indicate date? Or was this a later period badge? Regards, Paul.

Hi Paul,
They didn’t wear a RMREM specific cap badge during the 1st WW, only shoulder titles as with the Royal Anglesey RE.

Thanks Kevin, It manage to get itself into Cox's book which although has its faults was my first badge book and my Great War period of interest. Do you have a date of introduction? Did they just use just the standard RE badge during The Great War- no M? Cheers, Paul.

I'll have a look through my RMREM stuff tonight Paul. I know I have the date of introduction somewhere.
Brookies may be able to shed some light too.
