New Member from South Queensland
Hi All, I Thought that I should introduce myself as I had signed on a few weeks ago and been slack in putting this intro together.
I was in the Australian Army from the mid 1970's, discharging in 2001. Since then I have worked for the Department of Defence. I have been collecting Army badges since I joined up and have an interest in the period from 1953 onwards. As a collector and having most of the Hat and Collar Badges for this period I have for the last 5 years been putting a book together covering the same. The book was to be from 1953 to 2003, but as there has been a few new ones made for both the Aviation Corps and the Special Forces group, I have extended it to cover them all. The book is just about complete with me only requiring to either get a copy of the badges or high res photos of them: 1st Aviation Regiment collars (left and right facing) both the 1st and 2nd styles. 5th Aviation Regiment collars (left and right facing) both the 1st and 2nd styles. 6th Aviation Regiment hat and collars (left and right facing) 1st Commando Regiment (new style hat and collar badges, and 2nd Commando Regiment Hat and collars. If there is anyone out there that can help it would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot Paulatim Tim |

Hi Tim,
Welcome to the forum, I think I have met you briefly as you were kind enough to purchase some Australian badges that I had picked up when purchasing several british badges I was after and you mentioned you were writing a book. Pleased to see your very worthwhile project coming to fruition, cheers Dean. |
