Default Tube Refreshments Service

During the London Blitz of 1940-41 London Transport organised a Tube Refreshments Service for those taking shelter in London's Underground stations.

The ladies serving the refreshments wore a coloured armband with the letters TR as the photograph shows.

I have never seen an example and don't even know what colours were used. Has anyone seen or better still got an example they could share?

Jon,

Just a thought but does the armband actually read T.R.S. and the 'S' is out of camera shot?

regards
