Looking for identification and value on these British medals
Mod Bill A suggested I post them here.
Please excuse my lack of knowledge on the medals and please be patient with my knowledge of board protocol and pics posting etc. I will do my best to get questions answered and I am sure I will have plenty of questions of my own for you guys. Hopefully a few of your members are in the USA where I am and near Seattle WA as they can inspect the collection in person if they contact me |

I can provide full size better resolution pics to anyone who emails me at
target1961@yahoo.com The site reduces the size and quality of the pic to load in this forum Brit3.jpg |

I have 20 more medals to take pics and load up
I was told that the inscription / name of the medal recipient adds value to the medal. many of the medals I am posting here have inscriptions of the name on the back or on the edges of the medal. Approx how much value does that feature add to the medal ? |

Try posting sharp close up images of just the individual medals, the ribbons aren't the interesting bit, and crop out the background as much as possible.

The naming on British medals does not "add to the value" it determines the value. ALL British medals with very few exceptions, WW2 campaign medal for example, are named and it is the name/unit that determines the value.
You also need to be aware that medals are a minefield, there are thousands of fakes in circulation. Buy a copy of the latest Medals Year Book and follow what it says in there. Eddie |
