Im relatively new at this but Honorable Artillery Company comes to mind on the second one...is it a collar dog or a cap badge?

Hello Nicksull, Badge No.SCJ_336, if that is what is meant by "the second one", is an HAC cap badge - I presume a collar badge would be somewhat smaller.

Two mome more unidentified badges have turned up. One is obviously a Kentish regiment, while the other is perhaps the "Army catering Department"?

Stanley, if I'm not mistaken the first one is The Duke of Connaught's Own Royal East Kent Yeomanry (Mounted Rifles), KK 1438.
The second one is the Army Dental Corps, KK 1057.
Hoping that will helps.
Regards
Jo

Thank you Jo - if it is a Yeomanry badge, the Kentish one is more interesting than I had initially thought!

These Buckinghamshire Battalion badges are in the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry Museum, but nobody is quite sure about their origin. Could the embroidered badge be a relic of the Buckinghamshire RVC? And what is the significance of the cloth badge, which looks like a shoulder badge of some kind.

I have found a few more unidentified badges, including one that I assume to be a collar badge from a Scottish regiment and a variant of the Rifle badge inscribed "Tower Hamlets Rifle Brigade" - is this a London territorial unit?

The Tower Hamlet rifles were the old 17th London Regiment. The TA reoganisation of 1937 saw the London Regt broken up and many Bn badges changed to reflect the Bns' new affiliations. In the 17th Bn's case they becase a TA Bn of the Rifle Brigade and adopted the new design to reflect this linkage. The Bn was decimated in North Africa in 1941 and broken up. This makes this the rarest London Bn badge and it commands a high price accordingly.

Is it not true the 2 loops above 'consorts' should be voided? I asked for info on this badge in another thread. http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...=tower+hamlets

I think the cloth Bucks T was used in WWI, but I don't know the time line in relation to the Buckinghamshire Batalion brass/BB STs.

Stanley,
the LH badge is NZ Rifle Brigade. Cap or LH collar (same size). Should be in blackened brass.
Cheers !
