As Alan said there is no all GM version and the records from 1916 prove this.
Regimental museums and their cap badges need to be taken with a pinch of salt I’m afraid. Most rely on donated badges, not all of which are genuine, even the Imperial War Museum has suffered from this. That’s not intended to deride their collections, many have very good collections and some very rare badges but they do fall down in places like here. |

Horrible fake -there is a list of WW1 brass economy badges on the forum .May be helpful if you find and study this
