Thank you Andy and Keith. I thought the odds might be against it- not exactly a quality made badge. Goes to show you can't set the same standards judging every badge. Cheers, Paul.

JT,
I have one of these also, alas it is in the box marked "Suspect"! Just compare the thickness of the font and spokes to those on the badge Keith posted (IMO a good one) and also the poorly struck upper arms of the crown!

Best Regards

Andy

Yes, fair points actually. I'll take some pics of the rear in daylight tomorrow.

Regards.

Any thoughts on the badge in post 30? Crooked orb the only thing I have against it. I don't think it got any comment at time of posting. Regards, Paul.

Not one I'd offer for sale as genuine!

Sorry

http://www.25thlondon.com/standing%2...g%20Orders.pdf

An interesting document that explains that they had a khaki uniform with a side cap and a walking out dress with a peaked cap (not interchangeable). The side caps seem to have been often badgeless or blackened. http://25thlondon.com/hcyalbum/ph10.htm.
