Hello Mike
thanks to Tony who answer me This photo is from the Polish Armed Forces in the West era, so the thread has been relocated accordingly. The women served in the Polish equivalent of the ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Service) known as the P.W.S.K (Pomocniczna Wojskowa Służba Kobiet) roughly translated as the Women's Auxiliary Army Service. This is a wartime picture taken between 1942 and 1944. After that date the rank insignia changed. The black and white photos make identification of the colour band difficult. The unit flash signifies The Polish Army Command in the Middle East. cordially Didier |

Polish Army insignia
That's outstanding. Is there a Polish speaker amongst us who could translate the text on that excellent illustration? Some words can be guessed at (by an English speaker) but only a very few.
