Highland Brigade.
Attached is a picture of an officer's quality cap badge to the Highland Brigade.
It is currently for sale on eBay. Was this badge worn after the brigades had ended by 1970 ? Because it's made by LB & B, which was founded in 1973. (?). Who was it made for ? Is it a copy ? |

The 52nd Lowland volunteers followed the same path as the 51st Highland in the mid 60's, did they get to wear the Lowland brigade badge ?
NB: I know the Wessex brigade badge also continued in use for territorials, did any other brigade badge continue afterwards ? |

E.g. 52nd Lowland Volunteers 5th (Volunteer) Battalion, The Queen's Regiment The Lancastrian Volunteers The Fusilier Volunteers (but in this case the badge was also carried by the merged Fusiler Brigade > The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers) The Wessex Volunteers The Mercian Volunteers The Welsh Volunteers I am of course open for, and in fact wanting for, corrections.

Both Exeter and Southampton OTC initially wore the Wessex Regiment badge when they were reformed in the 1980s.
Likewise Cardiff UOTC wore the Welsh brigade badge, then the RRW before they had the Cardiff (now Wales) UOTC badge. |
