Default Korean war Jacket, airborne, nylon

Hi folks,
Here is a new smock I've acquired, named to a 1st Bn PPCLI private wounded in Korea in October 1952. I'm not good at dating the wings and would appreciate the experts weighing in on the type of wing attached. It's unclear to me whether these garments were used in the conflict or whether this was issued to him during his subsequent service.

In addition to his name and service number is "D.J.M.F." or possibly "H.J.M.F." - what might this be?
Cheers,
Burton
