Default nostalgia

Picked up this set of ten match boxes in Shanghai on my recent visit there.
A lot of these Field Marshals & Generals are obvious.
Who can put a name to these historic gentlemen.
Thought I would share them with the lads on the Forum.
Regards
Ray.

I'll have a go Ray; top left to right;

Zhukov/Koniev/Monty/Rommel/ ????

Bottom left to right;

Halsey/Patton/MacArthur/Eisenhower/ Bradley.

A good exercise. Thanks for posting.

Cheers Al

Agree with the above, it's a fun exercise. Think top row right is Guderian, and have to disagree with bottom row left, think it's Nimitz (although I stand to be corrected on it!).

Great fun. Agree with most of the answers thus far, except not that second from left top is Konev; he was bald as a coot. I think it's Rokosovssky? Bottom left is definitely Chester Nimitz. Why Guderian? Why not Manstein, or Model, or even Von Rundstedt?

Yes, yes.... I know it's Guderian - god, I even read Achtung Panzer in German just in case there were any nuances missed in the translation - I was pondering why him, rather than.... etc. etc.

And I still think it's Rokosovssky.

No need for that; crossed wires and the lack of nuance in electronic discourse. Come back!
