A most interesting page of badges of the 1st Royal Lancashire Militia was posted by John Mulcahy in a thread on a button of the unit a few days ago.

By a coincidence I have just bought a 1904 copy of Historical Records of the Kings Liverpool Regiment from E bay despite being told by the seller that the colour plates showing the volunteer battalions had been removed. That was more than made up by the presence of two plates relating to the 2nd Royal Lancashire Militia, The Duke of Lancasters Own Rifles ( known as the Liverpool Linnets ) which became the 3rd and 4th Militia Battalions of the Kings Liverpool Regiment in 1881.

Unfortunately not as comprehensive as the page of badges posted by John but it all adds to the information on this unit.
