Default Question re MERT

I am considering adding a set of MERT badges to my RAMC collection, but cannot find information saying if they are Army or RAF. What I have been able to find watching YouTube videos and searching online seems to indicate RAF. Can someone clarify this unit for me please?

Thank you,

Terry

The MERT were a mixture of RAF aircrew, RAF regt gunners, RAF and RAMC medics.

RN and occasionally RM aircrew and medics also flew MERT serials. In fact the original ERT (the original name) flights in the Balkans were largely RN manned - perhaps (who am I to cast aspersions) because the army and RAF crews wouldn't fly in poor weather. The force protection guys when I was in Iraq were either TA infantry (Basra) or Para Reg (Baghdad).

I'd forget trying to tie them to any one arm or force.
