Default Molly Dawes Display

I am about finished getting the items needed for my Molly Dawes of "Our Girl" display, including her autograph and a zap patch like hers. But one item I still need is a GS beret badge. The story takes place in 2014. From studying the scenes at boot camp it appears that she is wearing a metal GS badge as opposed to a Stay Brite version. In this clip you can see it well at about 1:06 if you wnat to see it.

My question is, what do I want to get for this badge?

Any help is appreciated!!!

Terry

Terry,

This is the General Service cap badge. The slidered version in ‘dead gilt’ although anodised with lugs (actually a WO1 rank badge) is very common. You will find the correct one on eBay.

I quite like Lacey Turner, but, I think I prefer her as Stacy Slater!

Thanks Tim, I'll see about getting one of those - just excellent!!!

Frank, I am suspecting that is her character on a show called EastEnders, which I've never seen, but know she was in. Actually I am more fascinated in her character, Molly Dawes, because of how well she played the her. And, how she is portrayed as not being some kind of super hero type, but one who has flaws and makes mistakes. A very believable character. Being I like the nursing area of collecting, I am also interested in medics. So wanting to frame some small collection outside of my main collecting to put up in my study, I decided to make it of her insignia, add a picture of Molly and Lucey's sig.

I've read she may be coming back for another series season, which I would love to see, but being in the US no telling when!

Thanks gentlemen!!!!

Terry

PS - Also love her speech - and it seems i.e. like she says her name as Maw - ley! And in one scene she says "Might gonna need a stitch"!!!

Watched the first series as I thought Turner made a good job of it but when she left the program I gave up on it. Regards, Paul.

I too can't seem to get as into the series after Lucey Turner left, but have seen season 2. I like the first one because it shows a girl in less than inspiring situation rise above and create a life for herself. Shows like that really grab me - thus "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" series and books are very high on my list. I also like Kill Bill, Lady Snowblood and a few others.

I've read that they may be making a 5th season and lacey Turner as Molly Dawes back in it. Sure hope so, but no telling when I'd get to see it, as only seasons 1 and 2 are available over here.

First series is usually the best with most dramas. I cant remember now but expect I must have watched at least the 1st episode of series 2. Keegan was OK in Coronation Street which I still watched when she was in that. Be interesting to hear how Our Girl was thought of by those serving during its run. Regards, Paul.
