Default Western command weapons training school

This formation sign is for the Western Command Weapons Training School,does anyone on here know where this school was located, thanks, John

In the west..........sorry John, could not resist. Possible in Lancaster as there is a red rose. Found this-Western Command Weapon Training School at Altcar, near Liverpool.

Thanks for your help, anything north of Bristol is foreign lands to me therefor Liverpool is North rather than West, yours, John.

Confirmed in the book "Altcar-The story of a Rifle Range" by Col.A.L.M.Cook T.D. page 60.

"During the second world war Altcar became the Western Command Weapon Training School......................."

Altcar is to the North of Liverpool and South of Formby and is in West Lanacashire.
