Default The Loyals Regiment

Hello!

I'm new on this forum and this is my first post there. I'm interested in military history of the Triest region. After the end of WWII there were stationed also british troops. On the web pages of Life I found some interestig photos. There states that they show the soldiers of the Loyals regiment in Triest. My attraction was attracted by the formation sign on their battledress blouses. It is neither the formation sign of 13th Corps nor the sign of 24th Infantry Brigade. Can you help me to find out what formation sign they are wearing. I will be thankful for any information.

Thanks, Sebastijan

Hello Sebastijan, welcome to the Forum.I have taken the liberty of including another photograph, of a Sgt. of the Lancashire Fusiliers, with the same badge.
Cheers

Unfortunately there are no information on the Life web pages about the date when that picture was taken. In spite of the lack of that information, we can say that it was taken in the period when the Loyal Regiment was stationed in Triest. By informations I have, that was between February 1951 and October 1954.
