Some recent acquisitions!
I recently persuaded John at QC Militaria in Cheltenham to break up an old frame of commonwealth badges that had come from the Potters military instrument makers factory. He'd had the frame in storage for a number of years and it includes some very obscure and rare badges as well as some common ones. I was only interested in the Gurkha ones, but give him a call if Commonwealth badges are your interest. Anyway the badges: the first two are to the 2nd Gurkhas, commissioned to commemorate the centenary of the siege of Delhi - the first rather crude cast badge was rejected by the Regt and never used, the second with the curved scroll was used by both battalions on presentation bugles. But the one I'm most pleased at is the large ( I've put the cap badge alongside it for scale) Gurkha Engineers shoulder plate badge. I've never seen one before and am delighted to have acquired it.

Nice additions to your collection. The Gurkha Engineer is quite nice.
