The slidered badge might be an early pugaree (pagri) badge.
Cheers,
Alex

Maybe, but hard and fast evidence for this particular use is lacking, at least to my knowledge. I have a suspicion that badges without the Cameron scroll were used beyond their supposed obsolescence.

The slider looks modern in spare compared to the longer FSH converted HPCs.

Hi Alan
Yes, it does look a bit different but there is nice golden braze and no evidence of lugs, so may just be a variation.
Cheers,
Alex

Hello Alan and Alex
I would agree with alan about the length and form of the slider for a pagri doesn't look right but alex is right the way it is fixed and the look of the badge is good except it should not be on a slider and any faker good enough to make it should know that

I agree with Alan.

Alex - golden braze does not a good badge make I’m afraid. Not a factor I would rely upon in itself. As Alan alludes the shape of the slider here is more diagnostic.

The badge is I believe fake, from the MM die. The thistles look like school bells with their ends having a distinct rim/border.

Another example shown here recently albeit a poorer strike - https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...hlight=Cameron
