Looks like a Canadian Air Force Officers hat badge, due to the eagle shape.

Looks like a British army cap to a "royal" regiment or corps, the chinstrap buttons will probably show which one.

It’s a right load of old Codswallop! ....... Crap? If the badge is sewn on, it was by somebody with “Wonky” eyes!

Some more pictures

Looks like the badge is glued or afixed with some adhesive.

Any chance of a better shot of the button?
closest I can get to identification is possibly the General Service pattern.

Probably worn with Royal Navy officer shoulder boards, combined operations patch, Commando trained soldier badge and parachute wings.

Another picture of the buttons. Hard to get it in focus or to show detail really.

This could be the longest running thread about nothing! It’s a very pretty badge on a very pretty cap but I became suspicious on your first post! I really DO believe your “username” gives it all away... Stick with the forum, there are a number of threads about uniforms and insignia in movies. Knowing that there are a number of companies selling used movie props, you may just have started another sub-forum. Best of luck. D.J.

The button may have identified which badge should be on the cap but a better image is required.

Artynut its not a movie prop. I do collect movie props but this was not purchased as such. I got it along with a Brazilian navy hat, a UK navy hat, and a Belgian hat (that actually was a taxi hat with a first lancer badge on it).

Just trying to learn more about the hat as its a pain to not know exactly what something is thats in your collection. A lot of military hats are improperly badged. I have prop guns that are from unknown productions as well probably never know what they are.

Just started collecting military hats a few months ago. As far as prop military items I have a Russian hat from Goldeneye they just used off the shelf Russian surplus. I have a Red Dawn Soviet military outfit it appears to be modified West German. I also have an NVA costume from We Were Soldiers.

I also collect toy space guns some were the base toys modified to make prop guns from Men in Black 2, Andromeda, and other productions.
