London Related Air OP Wings badge ??? Any ideas ????
Have just acquired this item along with a number of other pieces. The Ubique would suggest either Royal Artillery or Royal Engineers. It looks to me like a variant of the Air OP wings insgnia with City of London insignia on the ball of the grenade. Any ideas what it is ? It appears to have been made as a blazer badge. Measures 60mm wide x 60mm tall. If it helps it was acquired along with a pair of 33rd Anti Aircraft Brigade Formation patches, a pair of british Troops in Germany Formation patches and a pair of 8th Corps formation signs. Also in the lot were a pair of Royal Artillery Embroidered shoulder titles and the white on khaki XLII patches that I am also having trouble identifying ! Any ideas welcome
Thanks Paul |

Can you post a picture of the wings?
The white on khaki XLII badges were worn as shoulder titles on the Combat Jacket by members of 42nd Heavy Regiment Royal Artillery c1976. |

Many thanks for the ID on the 42 Regt patches, thought I had already uploaded the image of the wings insignia - must be my age !
