Default HELP TO ID AN IRISH COLLAR

hi all
i thought this may have been an aussie irish collar badge pre 1900 but the references say it was only issued in whitemetal. this is brass and the hight is 30mm
any thoughts?

I agree with that statement. I say the same thing over here in the States. I was at general fair a few weeks ago and in a box of junk was a QVC HPC for the Scottish Borderers. I asked myself when I got it -"I wonder how this made it's way to the colonies".
