I don’t collect past 1952 so cannot comment on authenticity but regardless it looks hideous and the embodiment of my decision why I do not!

The seller ‘warbadges’ is in fact another account for Daniel Baker of British Military Badges who normally sells from eBay account ‘britishmilitarybadges’.

He is discussed here:
https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=82253 it would appear the linked thread within this which I recall discusses nefarious dealings has been deleted...

Question Lancer badge

Luke, many thanks for the reply, of course the badge is modern and may well be an original, but your take on the seller has given me food for thought.

This badge has been discussed countless times on the forum a few prototypes were made back in 1999 they were dismissed and found their way on to toast racks in the mess around 6 of them any on the open market are fake fact !. Never worn theres even one on ebay on a cross belt.

Cool Lancer badge

Mac, thanks for the complete low down on this item, I have seen them on the forum, but never really took much notice of them.

Obviously someone likes the look of this piece on ebay as it seems to have attracted some bids.

Thumbs down

As Mac says, its a FAKE and is only a badge and does not qualify to be called a Motto

Phil.
