Unknown cap badge - OTC or VTC?
Hello all,
I am new to the forum, and although I don't usually collect badges I do collect Great War related militaria. I have recently acquired a postcard, dated 1915, with the soldier wearing a cap badge I have never seen before. I was hoping someone may be able to help me ID it. There are no other insignia I can make out, other than he is wearing sergeants stripes. Thanks for any help. |

Not a positive ID by any means, however this badge has some resemblance to the badge of the RMC. The only reference I have at hand is for the Canadian RMC in Kingston for WWII. Maybe this is an avenue you can look into, British RMC?

I have hopefully blown up the picture of the badge,As I suggested on the GWF that if it was posted here someone might be able to identify it, any thought greatly appreciated.
P.B.

Follow this link for a picture of the RMC badge:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_M...lege_of_Canada I can see the similarity, but it's still not exactly right. Someone on the GWF suggested it matched the Birmingham City crest: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birmingham which it does! Is it an OTC badge connected to the city? |

It has been suggested on the GWF that this badge might be a New Zealand one, I have found 2badges from New Zealand with the raised arm holding a device, but it is neither of these.
The Birmingham connection now appears most likely, possibly V.T.C. P.B.
