Grenadier Guards in White Metal
It looks like a genuine badge. 17 flame tips. The slider has been cropped. No idea what it could be.

Certainly from the front its a Volunteer Artillery forage cap badge, but as it was discontinued in 1902 it shouldnt have a slider and I have only seen them with loops, so I am puzzled

Did the GG wear WM badges? Why would a slider be on a Vol Artillery badge for wear in a cap when the slider for caps hadnt been introduced? I would like to know for definate what it is. regards
