Default Top 10 Favourite Cap Badges - Welsh

Afternoon all.

Just thought would load up some images of my favourite Welsh badges in the collection.

1. By far the best, Glamorgan Yeomanry s/g on blades.
2. Welsh regiment (6th Batt) with South Africa scroll on blades
3. Welsh Hospital
4. RWF wide flame officers with South Africa scroll on blades
5. 30th Comp I Y (Pembroke Yeo) boer war slouch hat badge converted to pin fixing.
6. Pem Yeo officers s/g beret badge (smaller version) on loops
7. 3rd VB Welsh (all detail scroll) on loops
8. Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers OSD on slider
9. Welsh Horse OSD on blades
10. Aberystwyth OTC (fretted) on loops

Jonathan.... does the RWF SA badge have a missing cloth or enamel insert? (Its looks like it is meant to have one?) ..... or is it the light in the photo?

No they don’t have an insert. Mine is the same except for the fact that mine is a “c” spelling version.

Thanks for all the compliments.

Dave you know the oldman is going to have only one favourite Mons badge.

Problem with Mons is that their badges are not in the same league as Glam
but just for you here is a fairly attractive one.

In the groove now so gonna load up 10 glengarry badges next week.

I think my favourite would have to be the Prince of Wales Light Horse, the infamous South African Welsh, whilst all ranks wore the plumes above P of W, officers did have their distinctive buttons.
