Default Collar or Shoulder badge

Here we go then,
East Lancashire a/a collar gold coloured rose-single lug fitting
Coldstream Guards shoulder badge-gold coloured rose-double lug fitting.

As far as i can tell, these two badges are the same except for the fittings to the rear.Would they have been made from the same die,and then lugged differently ? Or would they have had two separate dies.

The same question goes for the London Scottish collar and the Scots Guards shoulder badge.

Further to this, would collars and cap badges that were the same size be made from the same die and then have a lug or slider added afterwards ?
