Royal Marine badge - unusual lugs
Hi Guys,
Just wondered if anyone can shed any light on why my KC RM G&L badge has flat stamped lugs and not the proper 'wire lugs'. TIA, Tom |

You could look at it being from a Canadian supplier?
Some of their badges have this type of fixing....'lolipop' shaped. Cheers ! Steve Today ,25th April.....ANZAC day...... 'We will remember them' |

You also find those kind of shoulder title-like fixings on Scottish badges... did it get mentioned by someone earlier that they believed it was something to do with a subcontractor in the war?

Thanks!
The lugs are sort of lollipop shaped, however pressed from a sheet as opposed to folded wire that normally makes them. So possibly wartime subcontractor or canadian, hmmm interesting :-) Tom |
